Worked very well for my application. Mounted it under the bimini top. Already had the mounting hardware, so only used the antenna. Reception is as good as my old eight foot antenna. Foe the price it's a great deal.

This is a great antenna for my boat. It is compact and works just fine. Has all the mounting gear with stainless steel nuts and bolts and the connection wire is already put together ready to attach to the radio. It is not a piece of junk and is sturdy enough for any boat to use. The cost is just about the best around too for this whole package.

I wanted an antenna for my bowrider with more gain than a 3' wip but not as tall as eight feet. This 5' antenna has good range, and although made in China has held up well in fresh and salt water.

The quality of reception and transmission is good. I wish that I could have paid more and gotten this antenna with a stainless steel base as the plastic base does not hold the antenna nearly as secure as does stainless.

This Tram 1610-HC 5' VHF marine antenna is an excellent buy. It is well made, and the ratchet mount was easy to assemble, and it receives well. I have not tried to transmit with it as yet as there is no water activity around here as yet.
