If you plan on buying a SNES controller, read the description.
Under this page most of the sellers are selling a very cheap 3rd party controller that doesn't always work.
If you want a genuine SNS-005 Controller, it would be logical to look in the description.
Now the actual SNS-005 controller is GREAT. The controller feels good the buttons have indentations so your fingers can rest on them. The L and R buttons are the only problem, they do hurt sometimes. The D-Pad is great. Also the controllers are very durable(the SNS-005 ones) and last VERY long.
So the actual Nintendo Brand controller would get a 5/5. Though the 3rd party one that is most commonly sold on this page is RUBBISH! 1/5 RUBBISH!
So look at the description and if you don't see something indicating it's a Nintendo Brand controller, don't get it.

Mannnn.... I've been had!!! I was trying to replace the crappy controllers that come with the FC TWIN... only to find out, these aren't any better!!! I could tell as soon as I looked at the controller it was a cheap ripoff! AND I HAVEN'T HELD ONE OF THESE IN 10+ YEARS!!!! The plastic looks different... it just looks different! And yes, just like others mentioned, when I plugged it in I thought to myself (wasn't this cord longer?!) because that was a complaint about the FC TWIN Cords among them just sucking in general..... MAN, I bought TWO of these peices of crap! Now I have 4 bad controllers! LOL...Now, I gotta go find a REAL one for like 30 dollars... YIPPPPIEEEE.... Get this controller if you want, 2 bucks is a good deal, but THIS ISN'T AN REAL SUPER NINTENDO CONTROLLER!!!! Just a knockoff/lookalike.

This controller is a genuine, original licensed Nintendo SNES controller and has the long cord for those of us who like to sit away from the TV. It works perfectly and brings me back to my days when the SNES was the latest in video game technology - I'd recommend this controller instead of a knock-off because it will work much longer than imitations.

I got this to replace a non-Nintendo controller that I had which was losing function of its Y button. I made sure that the controller I received was a real Nintendo controller (after all, my original official controller still works) and it was great!
