Only used for a few days. Initial impressions: beautiful looking design, blue power indicator is not too bright. Gorgeous picture, have hooked it to a computer and a blu-ray player to watch Star Trek. No real complaints, I'm very happy with this bargain priced monitor (look around for a deal). Notes: the stand was very simple to attach, completely redesigned from the ball and socket described in earlier reviews. It is adequate, but not rigid enough to keep the monitor from jiggling if you bump your desk, for instance. Also, no height adjustment. The control keys are not particularly intuitive and impossible to see what they are on the monitor (maybe with a flashlight and magnifying glass?). I just ended up pressing them to see what they do. The interface brings up a menu system, with arrows on the screen next to the button you push to navigate. It's a little hard to tell which button corresponds to to which function, especially if you're looking at an angle from above. But it works, and I haven't had to mess with it much. If you want a dvi monitor and don't care about hdmi, and especially if you're going to put it on some kind of mount (I have one coming) I highly recommend it.

Received my monitor today. Taking it out of the box and assembling it was extremely easy. Just had to screw the base on. The pictures of the box that I had been shown all said 20000:1 dynamic ratio, but this box (and monitor) had 50000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, so I wasn't going to really complain.
So, I take it out of the box, get it set up and plugged in. I turn it on and the colors look pretty awful, the screen really washed out. Definitely not what I'd spent a decent amount of cash on, or so I was thinking.
I'm running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit, and the included calibration utilities adamantly refused to cooperate. Going online, I found that Samsung had released a new (more Windows 7 capable) version of their software. So, I installed that and got it running. I did the advanced calibration, and now things look utterly fantastic. So if you're willing to spend a little time to calibrate the monitor, it's going to look fantastic to you. If you go with the out of the box settings, well, they will not look so wonderful.

This is a great monitor. It's large size definitely makes the web and games more enjoyable. Some people complained of a buzzing sound from their monitor - mine works quietly. It has a very sharp and bright picture.

I got this monitor on sale from a different website. It is simply the best i've come across in a long time. Ive been using Samsung SyncMasters for about 8 years now and have rarely ever had a problem with them. No company can compare to the quaility of Samsung. The 1080p looks insanely good when playing fast action FPS video games like Left 4 Dead. Watch HD movies is a blast especially when you hook up a PS3 (DVI to HDMI cable required with that). It even makes grainy YouTube videos look good!
For the few that say they hear a buzzing noise, do the logical thing and exchange it. Ever product has defects and a defect is what you got.

The size, scope and clarity of this monitor matches the quality of Samsung televisions. Following the same styling of the tvs, this monitor looks great as a desk piece and also delivers a great image. Do not listen to the negative complaints about the stand. If you can follow 2 simple diagram illustrations for directions, the stand attached extremely easily. I found it to be pretty ingenious actually. With no need for screws or tools, the base screws right in and, like I said, if you can look at a picture and do what it shows, it is ridiculously easy to attach. I have absolutely no regrets with this product. If I had to make one criticism, it would be nice to have at least one HDMI port that some of the other comparable brand monitors have for the sake of versatility but if it is only going to be used for a computer monitor, the dvi or vga input works great. I hope this helps.
