   I got these speakers because the speakers in my computer are no good. If you own a laptop or all in one PC, like mine, you are going to need a set of external speakers. These speakers alow me to hear the audio on my pc like they were meant to be; nice and clear and much louder. They are loud enough to fill my dorm room, and I can finaly hear DVD's! in my 10X12 room with good sound. Do not expect great bass from these puppies, the speaker drivers are two small. However expect audio from video chats/Skype phone calls to come in loud and clear. The USB feature with Vista installed drivers perfectly and as a bonus you can now click on audio level, a feature not available with my internal sound card. (this is a feature that levels all windows sounds making all programs output the same volume. quiet sounds get boosted and loud sounds get quiet, based on the master volume(no more adjusting the mixer controls. While in the settings box, also click on the box to protect the speakers from heavy bass. As a bonus the speaker set can also be plugged into the wall, which delivers an additional .1 watt. However when you plug it into the wall you have to use the 3.5mm plug. I think the wall plug was designed for your portable sound devices like I pod's and stuff. The major disadvantage for me is, I lost the ability to mute the speakers when I plug in my head set to my CPU jack. Also the I-Cool does not have a head phone out. They sound good, better than most external pc speakers... but hey I got them mainly for the look :)
