Horrible customer service! If you do get a good unit, it seems that it will function according to the reviews; however, if you end up with a defective unit, you will have to spend hours on the phone while some Tech from India with an American name goes through every step on his/her script and reads through it for you to follow. My phone conversation was 1 hour and 12 minutes until they were convinced that the unit is bad and needs to be replaced. The replacement is supposed to take place within 3-businees days and it has been 11-days since I have sent my unit back. Except for the automatic replies, I am not getting any answers on the whereabouts of my replacement unit when I e-mail Roku. I asked for the free disk from Netflix and now I can watch instantly on my PS3. The quality of the movies through PS3 is much better. The menu and remote control functions are much preferred over Roku. You don't have to save items to your instant queue, to be able to access via PS3, you can actually view all the categories and choose what to watch, but not with Roku. Is your intention to be able to play Netflix on your TV? If so, there are so many better products out there already such as the Samsung blue-ray player, PS3, X-box and...... If you have a PS3, ask for the free disk and you'll get in 48-hours from Netflix.
Do not waste your time and money on Roku and if you are one of the unlucky ones that have to deal with the off-shore customer service, accept my condolences in advance!

Amazon only sells the product but Roku ships it. It took 9 days for Roku to even ship the product then it took FedEx 8 days to truck it from California to Texas. I got tired of waiting so I bought a Blu-Ray player with Netflix for about $40 more then spend an hour on the phone with Netflix trying to return it. Their sales and product support is in India so good luck.

A truly amazing idea. Keeper. Future of video on demand in making.
A few salient features:
1. Easy installation, took me about 5 minutes to set it up.
2. I can watch movies instantly.
3. I am using netflix movies on demand with this box, using Netgear MoCA technology to bring internet to my Roku box.
4. Lightning fast speeds, blows any other technology in market(especially power line).
5. Video quality is crystal clear HD.
6. Used for a month, not even one glitch, extremely reliable.
7. All this without any new wires, MoCA with Roku makes a great combination.
I wish this technology(Roku + MoCA)gets built into TVs in future.

The Roku works great. The problem is the Lousy Choices offered by Netflix. They have neither current movies or Old movies or TV shows. Just B movies from the Late 90's.
I love Gumsmoke; Netflix has Gunsmoke DVD's; it seems a natural for Roku but NO they do not have it.

This little box is insanely easy to setup and use. We've got ours wirelessly connected to our Apple Airport Extreme with no issues. If you have a Netflix account that supports streaming and a HDTV and haven't bought this item you're seriously missing out on some of the most effortless entertainment imaginable!
