I was initially going to install a Car PC in my car but decided to get the Pioneer instead. This unit has exceeded all my expectations. My car came with a CD player instead of a MP3/WMA/CD player. So, my OEM CD player would no longer eject discs and I knew I had to upgrade or be without listening to music via CDs. I also enjoy playing DVDs for my passengers. If and when I ever need to purchase another MP3/WMA/CD/DVD player for my car, the Pioneer is it!

I started out with an Alpine CDA-9886, but after coupling it with their current 50x4 amp and single Alpine 300 watt subwoofer amp to power two pairs of Alpine 6 1/2 inch speakers and a 10" sub I could not shake the thin sound from the head unit regardless of how it was tuned by the installer. I tried a set of Rockford Fosgate 6 1/2 3 way speakers and the Pioneer AVH-P3100DVD and there was a world of difference. The clarity of the Alpine setup was undeniable, but what good is clarity with no body. The music sounded flat and lifeless. The Pioneer unit even without equalization sounded thicker and just as clear. I thought Alpine was top of the line and I am beginning to suspect that much of their reputation lies in the hands of classical music and old jazz music lovers who do not have the same appreciation for bass as I do. Either way, the Pioneer will give you all of the same stuff that matters and more oomph to the music as well.... Please keep in mind that I kept the Alpine amps installed. They were the only part of the system that did their job to my satisfaction.

Great product fast shipping.
Seller dropped the price of the item and refused to reply to an emails or issue a credit. I was not happy about that.
FYI the dealer was "Deal Buster"
Avoid them if possible!

Can't beat the price for what your getting. Installed in an 07 Xterra and it is sounds great, I was planning on replacing the factory speakers next but they sound so much better with this deck that I'm moving on to a new sub first. Touch screen is responsive and easy to use. DVD quality looks great and Ipod control is seamless as you can contol your music with either the deck or your Ipod. Handy side buttons for the most used controls(volume, skip, mute, and display off when driving while a DVD is playing so you don't to get caught...) Talked with a friend that is a Pioneer dealer and he can't even get it this cheap. Can't wait to hook up more stuff to it! Only con I've found so far is the boarder plate the hides the install hole does not fit the face tight and also had to trim the top off to get it to fit in my dash. Great deal and very happy with my purchase.

Best Head unit for the price. The only thing is that they have to update the firmware for the usb.
Este es uno de los mejores radios que he tenido, lo unico que tienen que actualizar el usb ya que no es compatible con todo pero funciona bien y carga la bateria de lo que conectes usb.
