I bought this program to handle HD MTS files. It was very slow and clumsy and kept locking up. I finally gave up and bought Vegas Movie Studio Platinum which runs beautifully and is MUCH more flexable.

After using Studio products for the last 6 years...I was dismayed that Version 12 would not work with Windows 7...so I bought Ultimate 14 and crossed my fingers. I was pleasently surprised. Studio Ultimate 14 installed on Win 7 Pro 64 Bit without a hitch. It works flawlessly. I have imported video from my camcorder (nine year old Sony Digital 8), burned to DVD, made into flash movie...without a hiccup. Version 12 was not right until they updated. Ultimate 14 worked for me right out of the box. I have been using 14 since Win 7 was released and have yet to experience ANY problems. Just my personal experience here. Only giving it four stars because NO product is perfect.

This program is horrible!!!!! I downloaded the demo. WELL, after a TWO, count that TWO HOUR install this program won't even load. I should have done more research before wasting my time. As it turns out, this program has HORRIBLE ratings across the board. Lucky me I didn't blindly shell out any cash for this piece of junk like a lot of naive customers of theirs have.
DO NOT PURCHASE OR DOWNLOAD THIS PROGRAM!!!! SERIOUSLY!!!

Just when your credit card started to cool off from purching studio v12 two maybe three months ago, pinnacle again comes out again with ANother version.
And they want you to pay pay pay again again again for upgrading. Whats new??? Well v14 says it works in Windows 7. So why the need to purchase a full new version if
you just did that 3 months ago with v12??? Hmmmmm...
Their sofrware works fairly well, if you have a powerful pc with lots of memory, but you will go broke keeping up with version releases every 3-4 months.
And they offer no upgrade path except a buying full price. (might give you a small discount, maybe...)
