I bought an HDTV antenna earlier this year and it worked ok, getting about 9 channels on a sunny day, but only 5 channels on cloudy days. I often got lost signals while watching TV. I live in a very wooded area [feels like a state park in Georgia]. The TV is about 25ft from the antenna. I also have a PC with a TV tuner which is 50ft from the antenna and it was getting only 3 channels. I took a risk to buy the PCT amplifier and I am GLAD I DID! I now get 12 channels instead of 9 on the TV and 10 channels on the computer with NO FADE OUTS. I highly recommend this product.

Excellent product. I installed the amplifier, then split the signal to a second TV about 75 feet away. It boosted a flakey HD signal to perfection. Now I get all my HD channels.

This is a basic functioning amplifier for people using a regular TV antenna to receive over-the-air digital TV signals. It features a small white box with 3 connections and a tiny green indicator lamp. Power comes from a "wall wart" style supply that runs warm. You provide the connection to the amplifier module using an ordinary length of 75 ohm coax, like a short coaxial jumper. Then it is inserted in-line between your TV antenna and TV or DVR.

Despite only having 3 connectors, hook-up is not intuitive. Few guys like to read the instructions, with this one you need to. The label on the block features tiny type and may require reading glasses to make-out.

I understand it could also be used with cable tv and can allow passing of return signals, like for a Tivo or PPV box if used with a cable system.

Gain, or signal amplification is not huge. I gained one channel. Prior to buying this I was using part of an indoor RCA digital receiving antenna device, I took that amp and used it first. This block performed a bit worse than that cheapo amp.

In order to use this device you will need to provide a short coaxial jumper to provide power to the amp block. Considering how it performs, I believe this amp is somewhat overpriced. I would put it's value based on performance around $10.

Got this because I got tired of waiting for the cable company for not helping with my cable reception. Was having trouble with some of my channels, either wasn't receiving some channels or that some would cut in and out. The signal booster did the job! Took me awhile to hook it up since i had to find a plug close enough to the incoming signal, but did the trick. Got back the missing channels and as for the picture cutting in and out, reduced to the point where its not an issue.

I bought the PCT 1 port amp for my 18' camper. I wired everything and tied in as specified. I can't really see any difference between using the amp or removing it and just running a coupler in place of it. I can't say it is bad or good..... just might be my situation or some other factor. I was in the mountains of Virginia last month for a week when I tried it. Maybe it was just the location hindering the performance, but for the price it makes a relatively attractive paperweight too.
