Great value. Obviously, not geared to have the sound of Carnegie Hall, but for just your basic PC office they're wonderful.

I was looking to replace the desktop speakers I have attached to our family's computer. After doing some research I chose the Logitech S150 based on the reviews and the cost. The most appealing aspect of these speakers is that they are powered via the USB port instead of AC. When the box arrived I realized that they would probably not have the volume I had expected because the size of the speakers are about 2 1/2" x 6 1/4" which are a lot smaller then the speakers I was replacing.
They were very easy to install. No drivers, no fuss. I plugged them in and Windows installed the drivers to make them work. The sound quality is very clear but the bass and volume are weak at best. They would be good speakers for someone who wants a step up from typical laptop speakers but don't expect concert like sound.
I'll keep them but will not use them to replace the other speakers.

While this may lack the superior sound of expensive speakers, for my purposes with a laptop, working on the back deck, and for background music while entertaining out there, I couldn't ask for better. Easy to use, nice looking, sounds good. The only thing I wish it had would be a little longer speaker wires. But it's more than adequate for the purposes for which I use it.

The sound has no control, no obvious way to indicate how high/low the volume actually is.
This is the drawback I see.
They are good if you don't want you speakers plugged into the front of your laptop, thus making the connection area vulnerable to breakage-these are USB speakers.
Also the 1st pair I got had a buzz in one speaker-wrote to the shipper-they replaced them promptly when I wrote them and sent replacements before I sent the damaged ones back-(sending me handy reminders to return the bad ones-very nice) a very nice group to deal with.
All in all-5 stars for quality and 5 for service.
