I set the extender up with my harmony remote and it worked as advertised. The only hint I didn't catch on the first setup is that you can specify with the remote which of the 4 ports shoot the IR signal out (or set to shoot on all). The first time I set it up I did not specify and it did not work. This was user error because I'm not a big reader of manuals. A quick peek in to the instructions and I caught this and it worked perfect.

For anyone who is looking to hide their equipment and also not have to deal with pointing the remote at the devices this works great with the compatible harmony remotes.

I've been using this extender for about 5 years and it has worked as advertised for basic devices such as DVD, receiver, etc. However add a PS3 and you'll need to add a PS3 adapter. I did that and then found out that the extender doesn't play well with any adapter and I get multiple key presses when I only pressed one. What a pain.
Of course with Logitech's pay support, it is cheaper to replace the extender with another brand than to fix this one.

Also note: to update the remote and extender, you have to attach the devices to your computer via USB, and be connected to their online software services. This makes it a huge pain for you if you have your extender set up in an inconvenient location, especially when you have to keep tweaking the settings to get it to work right.

The Logitech Wireless Extender is a MUST HAVE for anyone who desires to not have to worry about direct 'line-of-sight' for using their remotes. I use this in conjunction with the Harmony 1100 and it is nothing short of awesome! It allows you to use it in different rooms of the house without any issues. A great item that is a must if you want to put your equipment behind solid panels instead of glass.

This RF Extender is a great product -
I use it with Harmony 1000. Logitech Harmony 1000 is great concept, not cheap at all but it freezes and looses response on touch screen.

Along with the Harmony 1100, this allows you to operate components in other rooms or hidden in a cabinet where the infrared "point and click" won't work.

This is the 2nd one of these RF extenders that I have used. The first was a Universal that went along with it's remote. This one appears to work with a better range and emits a more powerful signal to the component. I bought it to go along with the new Harmony 1100 which I find superior to the Universal remote.

Works as expected, and setup is simple. My only gripe is that everytime I want to tweak the Harmony 1100 you have to update this as well. This requires unhooking it and setting it up to your computer.
