I bought an earlier version for my iMac because my PC version was not compatible and the technical description/requirments said the new version was. They do work with one significnat issue. Every time you boot up and select any game the same sequence of cards comes up. Every single time. There appears to be no randomization capability if there is such a word. You have to repeatdely click on new game to get a set of cards you have never seen before. Needless to say, that got old real quick. I have spoken to customer service and they said guess what? "It's a Mac problem". Ok but the box says it was tested right? Anyway, DO NOT BUY this program if you have a MAC even though the box and Hoyle say it is.

this cd of the hoyle card games may be written for the vista op. system, but it is completely different from the older versions of Hoyle Card Games and we, my wife and I do not like this version at all.
Is there another version of these games , similiar to the 2007 version that will work on the Vista system.
This on is really bad.

The product Hoyle Card Games 2009 has a number of flaws in it. Two that I have found are glaring and ruin the particular games. The first flaw that I noticed was in the game of Canfield. One can go through the deck once as in most solitaire games but in this game there is no way to go through the deck again. The second flaw I found was in four handed Pinochle. After one hand has been played and the bidding and melding has taken place for the second round the game justs sits there doing nothing. There is no indication of what to do next,
