The game got to my house and time and it is a lot of fun. I've always enjoyed playing fifa so much that I've all all the fifa games started from 2003 - 2010 the current one.

So we still have the PS2, we will probably be getting the PS3 soon but till then my sister made me order this game for her, and now she really doesn't even play it instead. I will get on it with my brother and play for litterally hours sometimes we are on the same team and sometimes we play against each other(the most fun). Its just so funny because we get to competative over some of the games. This is my first fifa and I really like it, I kind of wish though that the ball was little bigger and maybe you could zoom into the character while your playing with them but all in all its a great game. I'm totally going to buy 11 when it comes out.

A short review:
If you're like me and still have a Playstation 2, FIFA 10 is a nice fix until you can get your hands on a next-gen console and game. The presentation is improved, the player movement has been tweaked, and the shooting physics are new with high emphasis on aiming your shot more precisely. When you start the game you will be asked to assess how good you are, which will in turn pick what difficulty levels you start with. As I've had every FIFA since 2002, I started with World Class difficulty on both the Player AI and the Keeper AI, and it did make a difference in the game play. Goalies are faster and more responsive. The opposing team's defense is better organized and recovers more realistically on botched plays or counter-attacks. That being said, the passing system isn't as crisp as I'd like it to be (your through-balls will often come up short) and the new shooting system takes awhile to get used to. In addition, the "scouting reports" before each game are a nice feature but in reality they are useless and add nothing to the game but another screen to click through before you can start the game.
By far, the best feature is the new mode called: The Season. It lets you play as any team, in all competitions, without all the extra duties of Manager Mode. This means no training sessions, no scouting, no transfers, etc. This is a great addition for people who are bored with the Ps2 version's Manager Mode, but the playing schedule is all wrong. For instance, while playing a season as Celtic FC I had only two SPL games in the month of November but I had three Champions League games, two of which were in the same week only 2 days apart. This wouldn't be such a big deal, aside from the lack of realism, but this is where the game gets you. Because I play as Celtic and the game is fairly realistic when it comes to team and player attributes, my players obviously have a lower skill-set and don't recover as fast after games. This meant I was immediatly in trouble when I had to play Liverpool twice in one week. The first game I drew 2-2 on a last ditch goal in the 90th minute, but the second game my best players were tired (in the red) and I was forced to sub in 69 and below rated players. I got beat down 3-0. Now I agree, Celtic is of a lower caliber in real life and this outcome is not surprising. The point is thought that if the games we spaced out more realistically I could have rested my best players in a league game and then started them against Pool, which based on the first result could have been another draw or a win. Just something to think about if you're like me and play with a weaker, non-5 star, team. You're likely to get frustrated when playing 5-star opposition like Man U, Barca, Inter, Chelsea, or Real M.
Overall though, great game for footie fans still stuck with the Ps2 and with a $[...] price tag it's kinda hard not to rationalize buying it if you can't afford a $360+ Ps3/FIFA 10 combo.
