not much I can add that hasn't been said, but it is just as it's advertised so I thought I would add my vote to the others. I bought it since I was having a few cable channels that were pixelated and it was annoying. I replaced my non-powered splitter with this one and it cleared everything right up.

If all you read is the first sentance then read this....THIS PRODUCT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!
I am a serious audio/video guy and overly anal about picture quality, etc. Anyways, I used to have Direct TV and all of my tv's are LCD's ranging from 19" to 55". Anyways, needless to say, Direct TV being satelight has a phenominal picture quality, largely due to the transfer mechaism and lack of bandwith issues that plague calbe providers. So, I was very hesitant to switch to cable, but I was tired of being ass raped by Direct TV on my bill every month since we have so many TV's and with Direct TV you have to pay for a box for each one, plus extra for HD service and so on. (I was paying like $50 on direct tv and that was just for the boxes/HD service with no channel service included, so I was averaging around $120 a month for just cable...I think not) Anways, speed ahead. We get Cable (Comcast) and as I feared the signal quality/picture quality was for crap. To begin with, the TV's were very grainy, the colors not very pronounced (very muted) and there was even some static, etc. HD channels also had the same issues. Basically I was now upset that i switched over. Rather go back and get ass raped I suppose than deal with this. Anyways, I looked for a solution since ass rapage is not a good thing and I first started with one of those $40 amp's that did not do a thing except make the picture worse. It kept pixalating because with an amp, it boosts the signal beyond the limits of what the cable company operates in and so it distorts...so now I have to return that and look for other options (ass rapage?) So, move onto looking at blogs and I find this Electroline product for around $100 or so. Although it is a little pricy, it was my last option and I figure at this point its still cheaper than Direct TV, so give it a shot....and SOOO glad I did. Here is what happened. To begin with, all of the static/pixalation went away, the colors drastically improved and although my old Direct TV picture was still "a little" better, its now not that noticable of a difference except for anal people like me and even for us its minor. I would equate it to the difference between scoring 100 on a test and scoring 96. Not quite as good mathamatically, but for all intensive purposes its really the same score, so get over it. This product also helped my internet connection be more stable for wi-fi. Of course it wont increase the speed, but it will improve the signal consistency, which in turn improves performance since when the signal is bad the speed is also bad. It was super easy to install (10-15m) and like I said is worth every penny. If you have cable, this is what you need hands down, nothing else is even close. Thank you, drive thru.

A little expensive but you pay for th quality and piece of mind. I have the PCT 8 port amp for half the price and the Electroline improved my upstream power level due to active return. Comparing both amps, the Electroline is constructed at higher quality. Seems like my HD is more clear w/ this amp than the PCT. It was worth the extra cost. HD is CLEAR as can be. Setup: 5 tv, 1 cable modem, 2 ports terminated.

Okay, by reviewing this product, and needing this many connections, yes we are TV Junkies.
We have 6 TV's, one with PIP (7 Connections#. One Internet Modem. For a total of 8 connections.
I had rewired every TV in my house. In order to get the needed number of connections, I replaced all the old splitters with new 1GHZ splitters. Most of the TV's reception was OKAY, however, the higher HD channels pixelated from time to time. Added to which, this pixelation caried over to Comcasts DVR service. I was at my wits end as far as reception and quality of signal. I had contacted Comcast to see if they offered anything for multi-tv homes such as ours. They had nothing to offer except sending a technician out. #Don't get me started about their service#
So I did what any good techie would do... Googled it. I read an interesting article about what happens with splitters, etc. The article concluded by stating that not all drop amplifiers solve all problems. Also, the Drop Amplifier needs to match the type and frequency range of service you are getting from the cable provider. An example would be, trying to amplify bass #Low Notes# in a car stereo, and setting the crossover to amplify 20KHz #High notes# instead of 20Hz #Low Notes#. If you amplify the wrong frerquency, the result is no change in quality.
I found this drop amplifier, which matched the number of connections needed exactly, and was correct for Comcast's operating range. Added to which, it amplified the return frequency as well. The return frequency supports Internet Modems, On-Demand, Pay Per View, etc from Comcast.
The hookup was easy - less than 30 minutes (I also took the time to label the wires). Power was easy - power pack placed in outlet, and used one of the jumper RG wires that was no longer needed from all the splitters.
Results: Great Product! Excellent signal to all TV's, DVR, On-Demand, and Pay per view are fully functional. Internet is great as well. WOW, now if only Comcast knew about this.... They would porbably rent it to you for 5.00 per month...

I just bought the Electorline EDA-FT8300 8 port dropamp. it was meant to replace a 4 port dropamp with multiple splitters. It took 5 minutes to install. Works perfectly! I had bought the Leviton 8 port device which was powered and it did not work. I returned it imediately. The Electroline works much better and is less expensive. There is no problem with the signal and would recommend it.
