I bought this so I could watch streaming Netflix movies on my TV and it works. The only thing that I didn't think about is that it doesn't transmit sound (at least not from my macbook pro)...fortunately I had another audio cable I could use to run sound from the headphone jack to the TV so it wasn't a problem.
Image quality is pretty solid...no complaints.

Looking for a way to watch HD TV shows on my computer (like FlashForeward) on my HDTV. I bought this as well as a 25' HDMI cord, and have been able to unplug my 2nd monitor, and plug in my 50" plasma as the 2nd screen! This product has allowed me to watch HD quality content from online on my TV almost effortlessly. I can't believe more people haven't done this!
The product is good quality, and so far I have had no problems with it. And for the price, could you go wrong?!

I cannot believe they wanted to charge me $50 at radio shack and $25 at wal-mart for this, when you could get it on amazon for 50 cents.
That's a bargain, great quality.
