I got these as an extra with an order for SD memory cards. We received them promptly and used to download photos from my new camera. It was very fast and is convenient to carry along on trips.

Buyer Beware! Digital Media Source will not issue you a refund if you return this item. There is NO customer service if you have to return an item for refund. I was ripped off for the first time by this company with no resolution. I returned an item to this company back in Sept. 2009 and as of today, November 18, 2009, I still have no credit on my credit card. I have sent them numerous emails with no response as to my refund. They either ignore your emails or play games with you. Not fun. I have bought LOTS of items from Amazon.com over the past 20 years and this is the first company that has ever ripped me off. I may never buy from amazon.com if they continue to keep sellers like this on their site. I thought you should be warned....

what's there to say? it works. the speed is not super fast, and the 6-in-1 deal is a marketing gimmick, but i bought this for cheap so i don't really mind. many places charge you a lot for one of these things, but sometimes they can also be had for free. there is not much else to say. construction is solid and there is even a light to indicate that data is being transferred to/from the connected card.

This thing just flat out DOES NOT WORK. You insert it, the red light blinks twice, then Windows says an "unrecognized device has been detected". I sent it back to the vendor (it cost me over $1 to return a $5 item) and, SURPRISE, the new one does exactly the same thing!
Don't waste your time or money with this thing. I would rate it zero stars but that doesn't seem to be an option.

At first look, you'll find it cheap due to transparent plastic but let me tell you...this is a hard plastic and its quite sturdy. The package arrived neat; I had opted for standard shipping which was through USPS. The case was in bubble packing hence no worries of internal damage. It plugs fine in the USB port and the LED does work. I am happy with this 'handy' card reader.
