Installed in a foxconn atom bare bones box I'm using for a windows home server. Worked great out of the box, comes with a 1/2 width faceplate that I used, which is why I went with this model.

Decent gigabit PCI nic. Supports up to 9K jumbo frames/packets, so you can use them in yer gigabit network if you so desire.

I've had no problems with it on any of the machines I've installed it in. Runs great on Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7.

I just bought one of these (DGE-530T), from another source, along with a D-Link router. I haven't even opened the router box, because the drivers that D-Link shipped for the adapter are infected with a Trojan virus. My anti-virus software caught it and prevented it from installing, but that also prevented the adapter from working.

D-Link has not responded to my inquiries, thus far. I can't believe I'm the first to report it to them, though. So, since they are not willing to take action, I'm taking action, by warning people. I highly recommend avoiding ANY D-Link products until there is a well publicized clean-up of their drivers.

I installed this card in an Ubuntu 8.04 desktop system. Runs fine using skge driver EXCEPT no 1000 Gbs operation, only 100 Mbs or lower. Earlier revisions of this card are said to run better, but you can't tell which revision you are buying until you buy it.

Update: While above may have been true (skge vs 1000 bps), an Intel PRO/1000 card also failed to sync at 1000 bps until I upgraded my cables to Cat 5e. RTFM, again!

I recently bought two of these cards (DGE-530T) and the D-link 8-port Gigabit switch (DGS-2208) here at Amazon, and I must say that it works great.
I have been able to transfer files three times as fast as before.
