I had 512MB RAM on my Compaq Presario C555NR laptop. It got to a point that the speed was way too slow. I did some research over the Internet and found that Crucial had the best price on Amazon.com at the time, so I ordered the 2GB RAM set (1GB x 2) which was the maximum RAM allowed for my laptop. The result was WOW!! It runs like a new machine. Definetely worth the money I invested. I'll give it a five star.

I installed this memory in a white 1+ year-old MacBook of a family member. The install took five minutes, and the memory has been working great since. This is noticeable speed improvement from the stock 1GB.
I used the wizard on the Crucial website to determine this was the memory to get. I advice you do the same if in doubt. Note that I also had to use free program MacTracker to determine the exact model.

I purchased this memory for my Apple Imac. It only came with 512Mb RAM, and this upgraded it to 2G. Applications load much faster, and I can keep more applications open.

Used to upgrade RAM in Dell Inspiron 6400. Have had it for a fewe weeks now. No problems faced in installation- BIOS said the memory was different amount, performed a few checks and then was good to go. Would advice one to look up compatible RAM on crucial website before performing upgrade. My chipset supports a single piece of 2GB RAM but Dell somehow recognises only 2x1GB. Had to return the 2GB I had originally purchased and get the 1x2GB set.

I got this for my Inspiron 9300. It is still a slow computer, but startup/shutdown times have definitely decreased (a good thing). I was debating on getting a new laptop, but this memory upgrade has changed my mind, as my old laptop is now usable again. It isn't a "fix all", but it does do everything that good memory is supposed to do. A very good value for the money.
