This webcam offers a lot more features than came standard a few years ago. For as quickly as technology is supposedly advancing, this camera doesn't offer that much of anything new. The video quality is decent, but HD didn't feel that much better than the quality of webcams I've used in the past. Software bundling was adequate as well but didn't blow me out of the water. I guess what I'm trying to say is that for 70 bucks you should get a little bit more WOW than you might with a 20 dollar run of the mill camera.

I plugged it into a netbook running XP, 1 gig RAM. In seconds, it provided a beautiful video quality. The set up could not have been easier. Even though it's an HD webcam, it doesn't require a powerhouse machine to run. The picture quality was amazing.
My only teeny tiny complaint is that there is no easy way to mount it. Otherwise, this device is perfect.

If you want to do some live video chatting or record video, this webcam will get the job done. You probably won't be blown away, but it's good enough. I hadn't used a webcam in several years prior to this, and I thought by now they would have eliminated some of the jerkiness of the live video. I have a new computer with 8GB of ram and a 2.4GHz quad-core processor, so I can't see any reason why it shouldn't be able to produce nice smooth video. The color and detail, while completely usable, are also nothing special.
Installation was simple enough, just had to wait for it to copy everything from the CD. The camera has a clip for mounting to flatscreen or CRT monitors which works well. The software that came with it allows you to add effects to your video which are a bit corny but still kind of entertaining. It also lets you use images like cats and dogs which are supposed to move as you move, but the tracking seems pretty crude so it will probably only entertain younger kids for any length of time.
Overall, this camera will fulfill its main purpose just fine, but I can't see anything to recommend it over its cheaper competitors.

works really well. has very good clarity, sharp clear images both still and video as well as the webcam when using im. the features that come with the software such as the special effects are really cool and fun to use.this I have taken some pictures of my fish tank with it and their usually hard subjects to photograph cause of blurriness but this cam here makes the fish come out very clear well detailed.works good and is a good price.

Our computer is acting up so I have not been able to use this as much as I would like, but from what I have used, it gives a nice clear picture, easy to fit on computer or wherever you want it and it is a small profile. I like almost everything that creative makes so once our computer works better I am sure I will still like it. I have windows xp so can not say how it works with windows 7.
