As the price of flash memory has dropped, products like these are a good buy. The only draw-back I have found it the size. It's too fat to allow another USB to connect to the second port at the front of my tower.

This is the first "thumb drive" I have ever purchased/used, so I really have nothing to compare it with at this point. However, I am extremely satisfied with this purchase. For the most part I wanted a simple solution for the transfer of video files from my laptop (conversion platform) to my desktop (viewing platform) computer, as well as, a drive on which to store photos for printing and means to store all of my application registration data (in case of system failure). This unit appears to be just what was needed for these purposes.

In addition, I was delighted with the quality and durability of the product. Encased in soft rubber, the unit is easy to grip, water resistant, and well protected from impacts due to accidental dropping. And, as it comes with its own lanyard, I have no problem toting it about with me constantly -- either worn around my neck or carried in a pocket. As I have somewhat large hands, its size is also just right for me being neither too large nor too small to be handled/manipulated. While it is noticeably slower than my Firewire video drives, the compact design and USB 2 speeds are satisfactory even when moving multiply, large files between platforms. Although it was not the cheapest drive I looked at, its dollar value for the quality and service received is, in my opinion, quite high and would quickly recommend the Voyager to any potential buyer.

Glad to comment first on this drive. I was skeptical at first before I purchased this drive, since it had a couple of negative reviews about formating problems, which bothered me as it questioned its reliability. It comes standard FAT file format. This means you will not be able to store a file larger 4 gigs. As an I.T. person, you always need to copy files larger than 4 gigs like images, databases etc. The problem people might have is formating this baby. It is not straight forward. You have to open my computer, Right-click on the cosair drive and click properties. Then click on "Hardware" tab. Then form the list select the Corsair drive and click on "Properties" at the bottom. Then click on "Policies" tab when the new window comes up... you will see two options. Check the second option which says "Optimize for performance". Click ok. Now you will see the option to format in NTFS.
This thing is very fast, stable and durable. Had my drive a few months now and it has even been dropped, almost eaten by my puppy ect. You will not regret buying this.
