Very easy to set up and use. Only requires one USB cable, no extra power cable! Scans are consistant, and quality is great.

Nice product, very very compact, easy to use.
The only trouble was with installation. We are running Windows 7 64-bit. Even though the product is stated to be compatible with Windows 7, the included driver and the driver available from the Canon US support site was for the 32-bit version of the OS. I did find the correct version of the driver on the UK Canon support site. It works great! I'm sure Canon will address this soon, as it appears to be an oversight; heads up for early adopters though.

The Canon LiDE100 Color Image Scanner is very easy to install and use. I like the compact size. It is quiet and quick when in operation and the quality of the copys and documents is as good as you want to make it. The navigation of the software was a little tough for me but thats just the difference from one brand to another. With the placement of the preprogramed funtion buttons my fat fingers sometimes start a funtion i dont want just opening the top to place the document but I'll get used to it. For what I need this was the perfect choice.

I tried every setting possible and every image is covered in spots. Cleaning the glass did not help. After searching the net I found that this is not uncommon with this scanner. I'm very disappointed in Canon for putting out such junk. It's going right back to Amazon.
